Frequently Asked Questions

Everything you need to know about Google Search Console Plus for HubSpot — setup, data, billing, and permissions.

Getting Started

What is Google Search Console Plus for HubSpot?

Google Search Console Plus is a native HubSpot app that brings your Google Search Console data directly into your CRM. Instead of switching between HubSpot and Search Console, you get clicks, impressions, CTR, average position, and keyword data inside the tools you already use.

It also highlights opportunities automatically — new and improved queries, lost and declining pages, sitemap errors, and period-over-period comparisons.

Do I need to know how to code?

No. The only manual step is pasting a single meta verification tag into HubSpot's site settings — which takes about 30 seconds. Everything else is handled by the app.

Which HubSpot plans are supported?

Google Search Console Plus works with all HubSpot plans that support custom CRM cards and UI extensions, including Starter, Professional, and Enterprise. It appears as a card on your HubSpot CRM home screen.

How long does setup take?

About 5 minutes from start to finish — install the app, connect your Google account, enter your domain, paste the meta tag into HubSpot, and verify. See the full Setup Guide for step-by-step instructions.

Data & Search Console

How much historical data can I access?

Google Search Console Plus surfaces up to 16 months of data from the Google Search Console API — the maximum Google makes available. You can select any date range within that window using the period selector in the dashboard.

Period comparisons are capped at 8 months (to ensure you always have a full comparison window within the 16-month limit).

Why is there no data showing yet?

This is normal for newly verified properties. Google needs to crawl and index your site before Search Console data appears. For established sites this typically takes 2–3 days. For brand-new sites it can take a few weeks.

Things to check:

  • Ownership verification completed successfully (green tick in the Installation tab)
  • Your site is publicly accessible — not behind a login or password
  • You have submitted your sitemap (go to the Sitemaps tab)
  • Your site is not blocking Google in robots.txt
Does this replace Google Search Console?

No — Google Search Console Plus reads data from your Search Console account and surfaces it inside HubSpot. Your Search Console account remains unchanged and fully functional. You can continue using Search Console directly at any time.

Can I track multiple domains?

Yes. You can add multiple domains through the Installation tab. Each domain is verified separately and you can switch between them using the domain selector in the dashboard.

What data does the app show?

The dashboard shows:

  • Overview charts — clicks, impressions, CTR, and average position over time
  • Breakdown tables — by query, page, country, and device
  • Period comparison — side-by-side Δ for any two date ranges
  • New & improved queries — keywords gaining traction
  • Lost & declining queries — keywords losing visibility
  • Sitemap management — submit sitemaps, see indexed URLs, errors, and warnings
  • Page filter — drill into data for any individual page
Why does GSC data sometimes differ from what I see in Search Console?

Google Search Console Plus uses the official Search Console API, which applies the same data sampling and anonymisation as the Search Console web interface. Small discrepancies (typically under 1%) can occur due to rounding and API response timing. Large differences usually indicate a date range mismatch — make sure you're comparing identical periods.

Billing & Plans

How much does it cost?

Starter — $30/month or $300/year (saves $60 — 2 months free). Includes the full dashboard, all breakdown tables, sitemaps, period comparison, and up to 16 months of data.

Pro (coming soon) — $60/month or $600/year. Everything in Starter plus automated weekly performance reports delivered to your inbox.

Can I cancel at any time?

Yes. There are no contracts or lock-ins. Cancel any time from your HubSpot app settings or by contacting us at hello@gscdojo.com and your subscription will stop at the end of the current billing period.

Is there a free trial?

If you have questions before subscribing, reach out at hello@gscdojo.com — we're happy to help you evaluate whether the app is right for your setup.

What payment methods are accepted?

All major credit and debit cards via Stripe. Payment is handled securely by Stripe — Google Search Console Plus never stores card details.

Privacy & Permissions

What Google permissions does the app request?

Google Search Console Plus requests read-only access to Google Search Console via OAuth. This allows the app to:

  • Read search analytics data (clicks, impressions, CTR, position) for your verified properties
  • Read and submit sitemaps
  • Verify site ownership on your behalf

The app does not have access to your Google Ads account, Gmail, Google Analytics, or any other Google product.

What HubSpot permissions does the app request?

Google Search Console Plus uses HubSpot OAuth to install into your portal and display as a CRM card. It requests minimal permissions — only what's needed to render the UI extension inside HubSpot. It does not read, write, or modify your HubSpot contacts, deals, companies, or any CRM data.

Where is my data stored?

Your GSC credentials (OAuth refresh tokens) and site configuration are stored securely in an encrypted database hosted on Supabase (EU West region). Search Console data is fetched live from the Google API each time you open the app — it is not stored or cached on our servers.

Is my data shared with third parties?

No. Your Search Console data is only used to power your own dashboard inside HubSpot. It is never sold, shared, or used for any other purpose. See our Privacy Policy for full details.
